Medinbox at Hammersmith Hospital.
Dr Sukhjinder Nijjer
«The Hammersmith Hospital, as part of Imperial College, is a major teaching hospital in London, serving a large patient population and delivering world-class care. My specific role is a Cardiologist in the Hospital.
We wanted to apply an innovative and unique solution to providing medical education and showing physicians around the world the various techniques for selecting and treating artery blockages. This is why we chose Medinbox, a cutting edge audio-visual solution to filming and broadcasting medical procedures to any venue worldwide.
Nicolas and his team provided a fantastic and bespoke solution that worked around us and our set-up in the hospital. Their installation approach was neat, tidy and quick. Importantly, their product is well designed and intuitive, allowing even computer naïve individuals to start making great recordings.
We have now hosted one International meeting, Advances in Coronary Physiology, with delegates travelling from all over the world, including the USA and throughout Europe. We had over 40 attendees who were able to watch two live patient treatments broadcast from the operating theatres. The attendees were mostly practicing Cardiologists who all are experts in their domains and who can provide fantastic insight into the procedure and treatment. It was amazing to have so many delegates watch the case but also directly interact with the Cardiologists performing the procedure, without having to be physically in the same room. They could give their opinions and ask questions, greatly enhancing their learning.»
